You've chosen your University and we've helped you find your new home, so now it's time to think about moving in! Here are some of the things to consider to make sure your move goes smoothly.

• Check your contents insurance - make sure you have cover from the day you move in to your new home. 
• Make sure some friends and family are free to to help you move in.
• Get rid of possessions you no longer need. Selling your items could raise some much needed extra cash!
• If you need new furniture - order it in advance so it is ready to move in with you
• Make sure you register with a local doctor and dentist.
• Make a list of everyone who should know about the move and send out e-mails and texts with your new details.
• Make yourself a budget so you know exactly how much money you will need to cover your rent and other essentials.
• If you're taking your car, remember you will need to notify both your insurance company and the DVLA.
